door ajar warning

Has anyone ever had a door ajar warning come on in their ranger. Usually
for me it happens when it gets hot outside. Not only does the gauge light
come on but the dome light stays on for a while. Also when I put the key in
the ignition with the door closed it immediately starts beeping at me saying
the door is ajar but it isn't

Any help would be appreciated to fix this.

Try checking the door switches, found out which door is causing the problem.
The switches can be adjusted in and out to eliminate the problem. If the
switch is adjusted too far in it will sound alarm. On spring loaded ones,
be sure the contact surfaces are clean as well.
